Meet the Celts from Bratislava in the Castle’s basement, history of the building on the ground floor, the Baroque Staircase, Northern State Rooms, the permanent exhibitions „Altar as an Object“ and „History of Slovakia“ from Prehistory to the Middle Ages. MARIE ANTOINETTE: From Vienna to Versailles and to the Guillotine
The splendor and grandeur of Versailles are coming to the magnificent Knights’ Hall at Bratislava Castle. You will have the opportunity to view costumes, wigs, paintings, furniture, and other works of art on loan from the Palace of Versailles. The exhibition will also feature items from the collections of Slovak museums and film clips that will give you a glimpse into the life of this famous queen—from her childhood at the imperial Schönbrunn Palace, through the lavish life of the French monarch at Versailles, to her death on the scaffold.
