The Slovak National Museum – Museum of History at Bratislava Castle would like to inform you of an exceptional change in opening hours for the week of 18 May 2026 – 24 May 2026.
During this period, the museum and the castle grounds will be open as follows:
Monday, 18 May 2026
Museum: Closed
Access to the grounds is possible only via the Nicholas Gate and Leopold Gate (8:00–22:00); parts of the grounds are closed to the public, including the Courtyard of Honour and the castle palace courtyard.
Tuesday, 19 May 2026
Museum: Closed
Access to the grounds is possible only via the Nicholas Gate and Leopold Gate (8:00–22:00); parts of the grounds are closed to the public, including the Courtyard of Honour and the castle palace courtyard.
Wednesday, 20 May 2026
Museum: Open 10:00–18:00 (last entry at 17:00)
Access via all gates – Vienna, Nicholas, and Leopold (8:00–22:00).
Thursday, 21 May 2026
Museum: Closed, except for the exhibition Shape of the Spirit: The Power and Beauty of African Art (Northern Walls, 10:00–18:00, last entry at 17:00, cash only)
Access to the grounds is possible only via the Nicholas Gate and Leopold Gate (8:00–22:00); parts of the grounds are closed to the public, including the Courtyard of Honour and the castle palace courtyard.
